Our knife combines a fine wood finish with an extremely sharp blade. The Better Bread Knife is a wonderful and necessary addition to any kitchen. It cuts the freshest, warm bread without crushing - from crusty French to soft sourdough. Great for bagels, too! A simple back and forth sawing motion with little downward pressure produces uniform slices - thin to toaster thick. You decide. Also works great on fruits and vegetables, even ripe tomatoes. The blades have a scalloped edge with a double bevel to maximize cutting surface and retain sharpness. Only the tips ever touch the cutting board. The rest of the blade stays sharp for many loaves to come.This knife is made from a fine quality, domestic cherry hardwood. Colors and grain patterns vary as this is a natural product.
